If I could give Chalard more than 5 stars I would. He was recommended to my wife by an acquaintance and I am so glad we found him. He is as honest as they come and does quality work for very reasonable prices.

Extraordinarily fair. Mr. Chalard does not push you to do things you don't need. He is also very fair on pricing. I have been a customer for more than 15 years.

I've been going here for years and I can say "It's all true!" Mr. Charlard is a great mechanic, businessman, and honest human being. I can bring my car around last minute for an oil change, and even during the busiest days, he will take care of it for me. They deserve all the 5-star reviews and business they get.

Chalard is a seriously awesome guy! He has to be the most decent auto mechanic out there! Ever since my husband and I found him on Yelp (where all his 5-star reviews are pretty self explanatory), we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! The first time we went to him was because my car was overheating and other mechanics had said that it was most likely an engine problem (which would have cost me around $2000). I went to Chalards, and he replaced the thermostat and the problem was fixed for 15 bucks!!! THAAANK YOU CHALARD!!! Then recently, my husband and I both went there because both of our cars were making strange sounds (again, we were afraid that it was engine related which would cost us a fortune, especially for two cars). Chalard discovered that my issue was simply that my oil was low (apparently when the temperature changes back and forth, the oil gets burnt faster and the lack of oil was what made the noise), and so he changed the oil, oil filter, and did some other stuff and my total bill was $27!!! THAAANK YOU CHALARD! With my husband's car, he found that we needed to replace the AC compressor. He shopped around, but at the end of the day he said all the ones he found cost $400, which he thought was way over-priced. He advised us to check the Internet to find something cheaper. Then he let us drive off without even charging us for figuring out the problem. We went home, found an AC compressor for $125 shipped, bought it, and now we are waiting for it to be delivered so we can go back to Chalard to get the work done there. Chalard is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy and we are sooo grateful to have found him!

My family has always put our trust in Chalard's business. Honest, reliable and dependable, he was the only mechanic we trusted...I speak in past tense because he just recently sold the business and is RETIRING. He's going to be hard to replace; mechanics like him are a rare find.

Already enough reviews praising Chalard so I'll keep it short. He's worked on my cars for at least the last 8 years and now works on most of my friends' and family's cars. Always prompt and charges less than you would expect.

Chalard to the rescue! I have been having some transmission problems recently... I did not know that Chalard even worked on those kinds of issues... but thankfully, he does. I got 3 different quotes to get a new transmission. 3000 from the dealer. 2000 for a rebuilt one at a local transmission shop. 1750 at a different transmission shop. My car is 11 years old and is in otherwise great shape... but the blue book value is only around 3500... so I was thinking about possibly getting a whole new car. As a hail mary, I brought it to Chalard to take a look at. He is not a man of many words, but I agreed to leave it with him for a day. The following day he called me and said that he was looking for a used transmission to put in. The next day he called me to tell me that it was done. Total price tag $750!!! I picked up my car the next day and drove away. I noticed a few problems with that transmission (which came with a 90 day warranty from the junk yard) so I brought the car back in to him. He had to replace that transmission with a different one... and after testing it himself, he realized that THAT transmission also was no good. So, he put a third in. I picked up my car a week ago and it feels like I am driving a brand new car. And what did Chalard charge me for all of the extra work that him and his employees put into my 3 transmission car? Nothing. I only paid the 750 that he charged me to originally to fix my car. He is a wonderful man with a kind heart. It truly makes him happy to see others happy. Thanks Chalard... for everything. If only everyone ran a business like you.

I almost don't want anyone to know about Chalard because I consider him "MY" mechanic. That wouldn't be fair though so I decided to write this review. This place is the best. Yes things may look like it's in disarray up front with all of those cars there, but that just means Chalard is putting in work as usual. An honest mechanic and an exceptional one on top of that, this place has serviced my family's cars for many years and we will keep coming back.

Chalard is the best and sweetest man ever. He has been my families mechanic for as long as I can remember. He is honest, quick and his prices are great. He doesn't nickle and dime you for everything. If there is mechanic that I trust it is this man.
