Burbank Auto Repair

I went there with my friend and the guy was so nice he told us exactly what we needed to do to fix his car. This saved my friend a couple of hundred dollars and the repair took 5 minutes. It's rare to see a mechanic so cool and helpful.

Love this place! Tried it for the first time over the weekend. I trusted this guy immediately, and he gave me a clear invoice that indicated a much lower price than expected. This is officially my go-to shop for my little truck, Marge. :)

I've been going to Chalard's for couple of years now, and every time I just have to say this business is the most honest, fair, and reasonably priced auto repair place I've ever known. The last two times it was even 'no charge' He may be a man of few words but he knows his auto repair. I took my car from another local place where I was told the repair would be 1200.00 plus for a catalytic converter, Chalard's found it to be a $16.00 hose, Kid you not. From that point on he has been the only place I will go for repair. Very highly recommend this business.

My AC starting going, I took it to a place called Firestone Auto Repair, in San Fernando, They diagnosed it and said my condenser, compressor and valves all had to be replaced, to a tune of $1,800.00 !!!!! (why did I take it to Firestone they're 1 block from my work) Took it to Chalard, I was expecting a lesser amount BUT to tell me that it was just a leaky valve!!! I spent less than 100 bucks!! Best Honest mechanic I've ever come across. THANK YOU CHALARD!!!

Yay Chalard's! I dropped my baby for what I thought was a starter problem and I was quickly diagnosed with a low charged battery!!! So they charged me up, and I got an oil change (I had gone past my regular scheduled maintenance) and brake rotor change and scrubbing too, which I had also needed really bad!!! Great work and reasonably priced!!!

Best mechanic I've ever had, hands down. I could not love Chalard more. He fixes everything, is very reasonable and reliable.

Imagine. Your car breaks down and stops running, ugh! Riddle me this, what to do next? Luckily for me, BF has AAA to save the day. Wonderful! What next, Batman? I mean, I don't know about you but I sure don't know of a trustworthy, fair mechanic. Ouch. Yeah, so that was me about 2 weeks ago: damsel in distress with no ride. I needed to make moves and I needed to make them fast. So, while en route to Burbank in the AAA tow truck, I decided to do a hail mary and threw dice down on Yelp - up pops Chalard. What the heck, dude sounds like a Pokemon. Anyway, AAA drops off my ride and I pray to the auto gods. Please be fair. Please be cheap. Please Yelpees be right. Please, oh, please! Like all the other Yelpees said, Chalard is a man of few words. ::::very.few.words::::. And when he speaks, he's tough to understand. Cherry on top is he comes off as a bit of a grouch - so be patient my little darlings. Chalard's got you. Not only will your patience pay off, but the auto gods + Chalard will restore your ride back to tip-top shape as well as your faith in mankind. There are still decent businessmen out there, hey now!! Plus, you won't walk away missing an arm or a leg, he's fair. I even got $100 off the original quote plus he guaranteed his work for 12 months or 12K miles, whichever comes first. Definitely recommend Chalard and all his Pokeman friends to take care of your ride, will be using his services for any auto maintenance required.

Chalard is an honest businessman in an industry that desperately needs him. I've taken my fiancé's car here on multiple occasions, and including my own project car. Each time, he's always been very transparent and communicative of what the issues were, and how much he'd predict it would cost, and how long it would take. Admittedly if you don't know him, he can come off a bit cold - but that's just his personality. Consider bringing him a gift when you come pick up your car, it always did wonders for us and Chalard always was very appreciative. Will definitely keep coming back as long as I'm a local.

Chalards auto repair is simply awesome. I got my front brakes completely repaired and when I first stopped in to receive a quote I was quoted at about 180-200 dollars. This was much cheaper than any other bigger named companies repairing them and trying to simply rip me off. I knew what needed to be fixed yet the other companies tried to force me to do so much more. I dropped my vehicle off in the a.m. and my vehicle was repaired before the day was over and to top it off it turned out even cheaper than what he had originally quoted me! It was definitely a pleasure doing business with chalards and they will be receiving my business and referrals to my friends and family.

We are Burbank residents and have used many local mechanics but I cannot say enough good things about Chalards. It is so small and looks nothing like you would expect but onto be fooled. This man of few words fixes everything , stands by his work and has helped us with not only urgent repairs but his prices are unbeatable. With a recent emergency water pump repair, he fixed our car in 5 hours and charged us so low compared to other places that I gave him a tip!
