I almost don't want anyone to know about Chalard because I consider him "MY" mechanic. That wouldn't be fair though so I decided to write this review. This place is the best. Yes things may look like it's in disarray up front with all of those cars there, but that just means Chalard is putting in work as usual. An honest mechanic and an exceptional one on top of that, this place has serviced my family's cars for many years and we will keep coming back.

Chalard is the best and sweetest man ever. He has been my families mechanic for as long as I can remember. He is honest, quick and his prices are great. He doesn't nickle and dime you for everything. If there is mechanic that I trust it is this man.

Charlard's Auto Repair is the best Auto mechanic shop you will find in Los Angeles. He is one of the few mechanics I ever met out here with any integrity. I was referred to him six years ago and have stuck with him ever since. He and his team are outstanding. They offer the best service, price and honesty that you will find only at this establishment. Charlard has always come through for me and my Toyota has run great because of him. I tell all my friends and people that need a mechanic to go to them. After I send them they always call me back thanking me so much and raving about them. Then they send their friends. Charlard who owns the place is a wonderful person as well. I would never think of bringing my car anywhere else as long as I live in Los Angeles.

This guy is a true gem. A co-worker of mine referred me to him several years ago. I've only gone to him for routine maintenance but he's honest and won't charge you an arm and leg. I was quoted $700 from the dealer. Chalard charged me a fraction of the cost.

I have been using Charlard for at least 12-15 years. He is the most honest mechanic you will ever find. I had a starter replaced recently. Other place quoted $350. He charged $150.00 and discovered after replacing it that it had a defect. He replaced it immediately, saying he would not let me leave the lot until it was perfect. I used to get my oil changes there, but you have to leave the car all day as he works it in and I used to walk to his shop..2 miles each way. Can't do it now, so I am only able to use him for major things. Wouldn't go to anyone else. He's the best. I

We blew the engine on our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country.. when the tow truck brought the van over to his shop Chalard paid the driver.. nice! He quoted us $1600 for the heads and then discovered a piston was shot too but didn't charge us more, the part was $400. He also fixed my door locking problem and some other minor repairs.. all inclusive. We were quoted $3000 by another mechanic. Very nice man and to the point. No BS

I'm so glad that Chalard's get such good ratings... it's so hard to find a great mechanic, and he is the best. Honest, trustworthy, skilled... he's a triple threat. My father in law told me about this place, I told my dad, I told my friends, I told my coworkers, and now I tell yelp. I just can't keep my trap shut about this awesome dude.

Chalard may be the most honest mechanic on the planet. He does excellent work and his prices are very reasonable. His place is always busy, so you may want to call ahead if you have a lot of work that needs to be done. I highly recommend him.

He is the most honest mechanic that I have ever been to in my life. I was having a problem with my car a couple of months ago... and after reading about similar problems online, I thought that maybe it could be my fuel pump (2001 Hyundai Elantra) I took it to Pep Boys... and they said, "Yes, probably the fuel pump." Because my fuel pump is very hard to access, this was going to be very expensive. After reading some online reviews, I took it to Chalards for a second opinion. He asked that I leave it with him for a couple of hours. When I came back, it was fixed! All I needed was a tune up and some other minor adjustments. Total bill. 35 bucks. I just had another problem with the MAP and 02 sensors in my car. I brought it to him and he suggested that I get the parts used from a junk yard so I could save money. I ended up getting them both off of ebay and dropped off my car with the parts for him to put on. I came back in an hour and a half... and he didnt charge me anything! I will never bring my car to anyone else for as long as I am on the west coast. -Joe www.JoeRussellonline.com
